Sturgeon Creek

The Sturgeon Creek neighbourhood runs along the western shore of Sturgeon Creek, north of Portage Ave. It's bounded by Hamilton Ave to the north, and the back lanes of Muriel St and Parkdale St to the west. The Sturgeon Creek Parkway runs along the entire length of the creek, split into several sections by bridges at Hamilton Ave and Ness Ave.

Along with the Sturgeon Creek Parkway and St. James Assiniboia Centennial Pool, there are several playgrounds throughout the neighborhood:

• Muriel Street Park is a playground found along the west side of Muriel St, about halfway between Ness Ave and Portage Ave.
• The St. James Assiniboia Centennial Pool features an indoor pool and athletic facility behind Ness School grounds. There are entrances to the parking lot off Muriel St and Parkdale St.
• The Hamilton section of the Sturgeon Creek Parkway straddles Sturgeon Creek between the Hamilton Ave and Ness Ave bridges.
• Amarynth Crescent Park is a playground found on the east side of Amarynth Cres.
• The Ness section of the Sturgeon Creek Parkway runs from Ness Ave to Sturgeon Rd.
