Westwood

Westwood sits south of Portage Ave on the north shore of the Assiniboine River, bounded by the Glendale Golf & Country Club to the west, and Westwood Dr and the St. Charles Country Club to the east. There are multiple entry points along Portage Ave, notably Bedson St, Rouge Rd, and Westwood Dr, all of which offer bus routes.

There are plenty of small parks scattered throughout the neighborhood.

• Bedson Park sits along the west side of Bedson St just north of Allard Ave, offering a playground and an open area.
• Canoe Bay Park is tucked in behind the residential area on the west side of Rouge Rd at Byrd Ave, with another entrance on the east side of Sumach St. The park features a playground and a long open area.
• The Kirkfield - Westwood Community Centre shares space with Sansome School and Westwood Collegiate along the north side of Sansome Ave. The park area features a playground, tennis courts, an indoor arena, and several outdoor athletic fields.
• Reynolds Park sits along the northeast curve of Reynolds Bay, featuring a playground.
• John Steel Park is found along the west side of Westwood Dr, next to Robert Browning school grounds, featuring a playground and wading pool.
• Whitegates Park is nestled in behind the residential area of Whitegates Cres and Barron Dr, featuring a playground and a network of pathways.
• Erlandson Park is found along the northeast curve of Cortez Bay, offering a playground and a small open area.
• Coleridge Park sits along the west side of Coleridge Park Dr, featuring a pathway and a view of the Assiniboine River.
• Benjaminson Park is found on the south side of Assiniboine Ave at Bedson St, featuring a monument to Skuli Benjaminson and a view of the Assiniboine River.
• Carroll Park offers a playground along the west side of Carroll Rd, just north of Kilmer Ave.
• Westwood Green is found on the south side of Assiniboine Ave at Westwood Dr, offering a view of the Assiniboine River.
