Silver Heights

Silver Heights sits to the north of Portage Ave, extending to Ness Ave between Moray St and the back lane running west of Conway St. There are three city parks, the largest being Golden Gate Park attached to the Sturgeon Heights Community Centre. While there are no dedicated cycling trails, both Bruce Ave and Lodge Ave are generally safe streets running east-west.

There are three city parks, including the Sturgeon Heights Community Centre:

• Neil Bardal Memorial Park offers a playground at the corner of Bruce Ave and Moray St.
• Golden Gate Park shares space with the Sturgeon Heights Community Centre, found just northwest of Portage Ave at Rita St. The park features a playground and wading pool, two hockey rinks, and several athletic fields.
• Strathmillan Lodge Park sits at Lodge Ave and Strathmillan Rd, next to Strathmillan School grounds. The park features a playground and small open area.
