Woodhaven

Woodhaven hugs the Assiniboine River south of Portage Ave, bounded by the St. Charles Country Club to the west, and Sturgeon Creek to the east.

There are two city parks, both running alongside Sturgeon Creek:

• The Woodhaven / Birchwood section of the Sturgeon Creek Parkway is found on the south side of Portage Ave, between the bridge over the creek and Woodhaven Blvd. The Red Knight monument to the T-33 jet stands amongst a cluster of trees.
• Woodhaven Park, home of the Woodhaven Community Club, covers a large area alongside the creek between Woodhaven Blvd and Assiniboine Ave. With several open areas, the park area also offers two hockey rinks, a soccer field, and a playground.
